Nintendo today announced that all UK versions of the Wii will include a free badger. The £179 super-console will be able to interact with the badger, who may or may not be named "Snorky".
According to Satoru Iwata, head of Nintendo's Badger division, the badger will be "so closely linked" to the console that it'll think "the Wii is its mother". Iwata declined to comment on rumours of the badger having a flaw where it eats childrens' stickerbooks.
The badger was originally planned to be an add-on peripheral, but Nintendo's decision to cram him in the Wii's retail box will surely please badger enthusiasts nationwide.
